Royal wedding fever is hitting the nation…and we are now just days away from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s much-awaited ceremony in Windsor at the weekend!
Naturally, Sylvester Keal want to wish the couple every success in the world and we pass on our warmest congratulations to the House of Windsor! We were fascinated about the catering options for the big event and we hear that one of Her Majesty’s top culinary experts has revealed that classic dishes from seasonal British produce will be served! These have been selected and tasted by Harry and Meghan and much of the food will be sourced from the Queen’s own estates.
As many as 600 guests will sample canapes and bowl dishes during the afternoon event, located in the sumptuous setting of St George’s Hall, within Windsor Castle itself. The sweet and savoury canapes that will be served are made to be consumed in two bites, while the bowl dishes can be eaten standing up.
Harry and Meghan have maintained throughout their wedding preparations that they do not wish to conform to all of the conventions of a typical royal couple and they have ensured that as much local and seasonal produce as possible is used. The weather, too, has been a big bonus as all the British vegetables are coming into season.
Many members of the public have been invited to the reception, which is expected to include chocolate truffles, in addition to small crèmes brûlées, yellow macaroons and biscuits adorned with mango panna cotta topping!
