Sylvester Keal are thrilled to announce a new member of the team, our Service Manager Adam Lansdell.
Adam’s current position within Sylvester Keal is to manage the service department engineers and staff. Throughout the day, Adam spends his time answering technical queries from clients and engineers, dealing with suppliers and parts queries.
He has also been ensuring the smooth running of the service department as a whole, whilst our company mascot Harvey the dog has taken a shine to him and licks him to death on a daily basis.
Lansdell is no stranger to the catering industry having previously worked as a Technical Manager at one of the UK’s largest commercial catering companies. In his previous role, he would support engineers with technical advice and assist with maintenance on a variety of commercial catering equipment.
At Sylvester Keal, his role is varied and he’s known for still getting his toolbox and helping to install gas pipework on site visits, Adam admits he “still enjoys being on the tools and mucking in with the engineers.
The new Service Manager was in need of a change before joining Sylvester Keal. Adam Lansdell said: “I joined Sylvester Keal as I felt my work had been completed at my previous company and wanted a fresh challenge.
“After meeting Director, Martyn, and General Manager, Chris, I knew that Sylvester Keal was a company I wanted to join and I felt I could help build on the solid foundations, the fantastic reputation and commitment to clients that’s already in place.”
Since joining, Adam admits he is mostly enjoying the daily variation. He said: “Every day is different at Sylvester Keal.
“The company as a whole is a big family. I enjoy working with the staff and whilst the role is challenging, I thrive on this and it is all worthwhile when the client rings up to thank you for the end result.
He adds: “It really is fantastic to be able to put your own mark on a service department within a family business and further develop existing and new client relationships.”
Adam anticipates an exciting future ahead at Sylvester Keal, with expansion plans coming into shape for the beginning of 2020 and reveals he is most looking forward to developing the service department further.
Adam said: “I am excited to obtain new contracts while still keeping the core values of the business.”
In addition, he adds: “I am also slightly looking forward to the Ferrari that Martyn has promised me for Christmas!”
