For all those lovers of music nostalgia, the news that ABBA are back in the recording studio has been met with great joy!
When all is said and done, we will be saying ‘thank you for the music’ once again, 35 years after the iconic Swedish superstars originally belted out their supposedly final hits!
In a gleeful statement that was released at the end of last week, Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad revealed that they had great fun in the studio and even exclaimed that ‘it was like time had stood still and that we only had been away on a short holiday’!
Passionate fans of the quartet had originally hoped to see their heroes in a live tour, yet it appears that the new songs will be released via a digitised ‘ABBA-tar’ format, with the new music being presented in a hologram style! Essentially, this means that a new ‘artificial intelligence version of the group will be created. Indeed, Benny Andersson himself has stated that “we are inspired by the limitless possibilities of what the future holds and are loving being a part of creating something new and dramatic”.
The digital versions of ABBA will make their debut on a TV broadcast during which they’ll also perform one of their new songs, “I Have Faith in You”. The special is set to air on the BBC in December. After this, their avatars will embark on a world tour.
Ultimately, the feel good factor behind their music returning has been welcomed by ourselves at Sylvester Keal, as we love being ‘super troupers’ ourselves in everything we do, whether that is commercial kitchen installations, catering equipment repairs or commercial kitchen maintenance.
